I am stuck at a decimal field cosmetic where the 2 places need to present always, for example, if users enter 123.00, the .00 need to stay when the record is submitted.
In ServiceNow, this is not a difficult thing to do if the field is set to Currency or Price, however, due to the limitation of list editing. The users are not able to edit in List view; therefore I had to work this around by changing it to a decimal field which allows users to edit, which is great!!
However, the Decimal field does not retain the 2 places after submitting when a whole number is entered, e.g 123.00
After submitting the record, the 2 places are gone
Is any way to always retain the 2 places all the time.
Thanks.

I tried different way but didn't work. We may probably need to discuss with ServiceNow, may be decimal field is design in this way if 00 is there after decimal then let's consider that as a whole number, anyways 00 after decimal is not a significant value.

Thanks Shishir for your attempt to support. I might also raise a HI ticket to see how ServiceNow think about it, and let you know.
Much appreciated.
Kind regards,
George

Hi Shishir,
This is ServiceNow HI has to say
"I've found a PRB Enhancement already created just over a year ago for this exact request and have attached it to the case. So this does have the attention of the Dev team. There is no current workaround so we are just waiting on the Developers to action this how they best see fit.
If you would like, I can place this incident in Problem Pending. Once the PRB is closed/fixed we will provide you with an update. Otherwise we can Proceed to close off the Incident knowing it already has the attention of the Devs."
Thanks,
