Hello,
I’m new to ServiceNow, so please excuse any incorrect terminology. We’re building an employee timekeeping system using a record producer.
When users submit time entries for manager approval, some are rejected due to incorrect hours. Is there a way to return the rejected record to the requester so it appears in My Requests on the portal, allowing them to edit and resubmit for approval?
Currently, rejected records are set to “Awaiting User Input.” state. We would appreciate guidance on how to make these records visible and editable for resubmission in My Request portal

Hello @Sue Lopez ,
The Best practice I would recommend,
If you want the ootb My Requests behavior, make sure your Record Producer creates a Request Item (RITM) along with the time entry record.
Then, when a manager rejects, set the RITM back to Awaiting User Input. The portal will automatically show it to the requester for resubmission.
If my response helped mark as helpful and accept the solution
