How to switch between dark and light themes for service portal?

I want the end users to be able to switch between dark and light themes in servicenow for service portal. There should be option in header in portal beside the user name. On clicking of it they should able to switch between dark & light.

It is the client requirement. So i want to achieve this.

I appreciate that it's the client's requirement, but as an expert, you need to guide the client on what is good and bad, or provide alternatives. Don't increase the technical debt on the instance. Instead, educate the user on changing the theme from the native view.
