I have a Knowledge Translation Task but when I click on Translate it doesn't produce a translation

From a Knowledge Translation Task I click on Translate and it opens the Create Article Translation window, but it does not populate anything in this window. I cannot create a draft article because the translation doesn't seem to be happening.
Anyone with experience don't knowledge article translation?

There could be several Reason for your issue:
1. Ensure translated version (article) Parent field labelled 'Translated from' is populated and pointing at the English article .

2. Validate ACL as per this KB article.
