I want to make a catalog item as favorite so that is is directly accessible from left navigation in ServiceNow .  

I see option as "Service Catalog->Dynamic Categories->Top Request.", but not sure of what to update.

how to proceed ?

Have you tried selecting that item and then just drag-n-drop under favorite tab??

I did not get what you mean by drag and drop ? The catalog item is a form accessible from Service Catalog - > <Catalog> .

Let me elaborate for you. You want to make Catalog Item as a favorite. Refer below screen shots.

Screen shot 1:

1. Open the Catalog Items list view.
2. Open the Favorites tab.
3. Select (click on that catalog item), drag under Favorites tab, and drop it.

What enables this. I have 1 portal where it works and one where you can't drop the link onto favorites.
