I want to make the subcategory into one Variable.

Hello, It's Kentaro.

I'm using Incident.

It has Category and Subcategory as variables.
Category is the department to contact.
Sub category selects the inquiry type.
There are sub categories for each department.

I want to have one sub category.
If anyone knows of a specific method, please let me know.

Is it possible to do the same thing with a Variable (Select Box) in a form?

Yes I am referring for the Category and Subcategory in Incident table. However if you are talking about Record Producer which is accessed from Portal, there possibly may be a Catalog Client Script that makes the subcategory dependent on category. Since you are referring to variables, I can say you can't access Dictionary for variables. Search in Catalog Client Scripts of the Record Producer for the Incident and check for Scripts making subcategory dependent on category. Uncheck the Active mark and save it.
