iCalendar (.ics) file and email body

I have succeeded in getting an iCalendar attachment (.ics file) on an email message. Now, however, the body of the email is empty. Is there a way to populate the body of the email message AND attach an .ics file on the same email?

I am writing to see if this was ever solved? I am seeing this: https://community.servicenow.com/thread/165874#700055 when I send a test appointment invite to a gmail account. I've also forwarded this to my work address which uses Outlook 2013 and a calendar event was not created.

I see that ServiceNow calendaring only works with Outlook, but I'm confused on how to test this functionality?

No, truthfully I gave up on that one due to other priorities. I'd love to get back to it if it ever gets simpler.

Weird how every answer is marked as "correct answer".
