Impact of utilizing sn_hr_core.impersonateCheck to true or false on HR Onboarding

When sn_hr_core.impersonateCheck is set to "true",it prevents an admin from viewing another user's HR information while using impersonation while and having sn_hr_core.impersonateCheck is set to "false", allows admin to impersonate a user and access data such as survey results/ audits with impersonated user's access knowing that this information should only be available to the users .

 

Is it recommended to set sn_hr_core.impersonateCheck is set to "true" or should I leave it set to "false? 

 

 

What will be ServiceNow way of doing this please.

To answer this as simply as possible, best practice would be to set this property to true and prevent an admin from viewing another user's HR information and associated records while impersonating.
