In the Service Graph Workspace, I need to hide the 'Dependency View' link for users who do not have the cmdb_admin role, while keeping the rest of the tools visible. How can I achieve this?

Hi,

You can handle this through the dependency_views role rather than customizing the entire Service Graph Workspace.

Dependency View has an additional role requirement of dependency_views. Users without that role should not have access to the Dependency View functionality, while the other Service Graph Workspace features can remain available based on their respective roles.

So You should first check:

User >> Roles >> dependency_views

Service Graph Dependency Views Access Guide.png

If the requirement is specifically to hide the navigation link itself for users who don't have the role, rather than simply restrict access, then check the corresponding Service Graph Workspace navigation configuration in UI Builder before making any customization.

My Suggestion avoid modifying the OOTB workspace unless the role-based behavior doesn't meet the requirement.
