inbound email action being skipped

I am trying to create an inbound email action to create a new incident from a server monitoring product. My problem is that the inbound email action is being skipped.

"Skipping 'VC - Create Incident', did not create or update incident"

No reason for the action being skipped.

The inbound email action is active, target is the Incident table, and type is new. There is no condition on the action.

The email shows up in the Received Mailbox as Processed. And the log shows all the various inbound email actions being skipped due to not a reply, not forwarded, not a change, etc.   But mine just says Skipping without any reason.

Any clues to what I can look at?

I've read many, many posts here, but so far, none have provided any help.

Thanks,

Dave

Can you keep on line one and so and check once.

OK, I may not be of much help here,   but I have to ask the obvious,

Is "active" checked in your inbound email action?

Hugo,

Yes, it is. Good try, though.

Is the inbound email coming from a user who has User account in ServiceNow ? I mean user's email exists in ServiceNow User table (user account) ? Have you tried sending inbound email from some other user's mailbox ?

Yes, I'm sending the email from my email id, and I have a user account on the ServiceNow instance.

Sending from another source is not something I can do at the moment. I have asked if there is a way to generate/send test emails from the monitor product, but I do not yet have an answer.
