Increase the length of the text for a checkbox

How can I increase the length of the text for a checkbox?

I reviewed an article in the community that talked about increasing the length of the dictionary entry, but that didn't do anything unless I am missing something.

Hi Karen,

What is the value you are entering in for max length. It will not work if you are directly setting this to a very large number. First set it to 156 characters then increase to 256 then try with some bigger value.

Good morning Gurpreet,

        The article that I read talked about increasing the dictionary entry.

I went to the Dictionary Entry table (sys_dictionary), and according to the article it said to increase the size of the field in the screenshot. The column label - Documentation field. I increased that from 80 to 150 but my text boxes still remained the same.

Karen, you actually need to increase the length on the related label record since this overrides the label from the dictionary record.   Scroll down to the Labels related list, open the label record and change the length of the label field in that record and you should be good to go.

Thank you Michael - after discussing with our entire team. We all agreed that we would not increase the field length.

I will keep this into consideration if this comes up again.
