Instance IP Address changing - MID server implications

A customer of ours is using mid server to connect to an external database and retrieve data into ServiceNow using a data source.

They just received a support change request notification that the production instance will be resized/migrated, and the result will be that the instance will have a new IP address.

I don't have experience with MID server. Will the configuration of MID server need to be updated with the Production instance's new IP address? If so, is there any documentation on configuring MID server? The only documentation I found just says what to configure - no actual instructions or visuals to reference.
