I want to change the instance name shown in the url for example
old url: https://myinstance.service-now.com
new url: https://instance.service-now.com
can i do it just by editing some value(like we used to while changing banner and instance color) and without creating proxy server and all

Hi Ravish,
unless you want to use your own domain (for example: support.ravishrawat.com), for which you will need a reverse proxy, you will need to request an instance rename from ServiceNow. This will have to be done via the HI system and an incident.

Hi Ravish,
No you cannot do this by editing some value and without creating a proxy server.
Creating a Custom URL for your ServiceNow instance
