Regarding vtiger...I have integrated with vtiger before with a custom web product (not ServiceNow). I performed the integration via SOAP Web Services. ServiceNow has an extensive integration capability with sending and receiving SOAP message and would recommend that you take your integration in that direction.

We're in the initial "solution specification" stages of our Incident Management implementation, and CTI integration is seen as a major differentiator between what we hope ServiceNow can bring to the table, and what our current system is.

Wondering if anyone has had any sucess in implementing the TAPI interface between Call Manager and SN?

I would also like to see call manager happen, it is a pretty main stream call system these days

I have done the same (utilizing the Service Now SOAP), but for other tools. It is extensive. A bit more work, but I doubt it will fail to meet your integration requirements.
