What specifically do they want to do with Sharepoint?

I have one specific example with a customer I'm working with at the moment:

Sharepoint is used as their main Self Service / Intranet Portal. So the requirement is to integrate the ServiceNow Catalogue to Sharepoint so that requests and the whole shopping experience is done within Sharepoint (the end user should never be redirected to ServiceNow).

While this is straightforward with older version of SharePoint by just adding Web Part Page , the most recent versions of SharePoint introduce much more complications. We have to be very imaginative. And to be honest we haven't come up with a perfect solution yet.
