If you attach , it will go to sys_attachment table !!

So NO, i don't think there is a way out as per your requirement.

Yes i also agree with you. we cant able to add snaps/attachments without saving in any record(except knowledge) in service now.

there is one more possibility like  need to create new filed( type as HTML) then it will be possible.

please share your comments on this.

Sorry but i din understand what will you do with this new field? As even if you create this HTML Field, you the Images will be stored in ServiceNow for sure.

What is the use case for this? We need to analyse that few cases where it is not possible. There is no way and i think not the expected way to do this.
