Hi @VedavalliC

I doubt we can hide the category, but we can control the visibility of the articles.

It would be better to keep the category visible and hide the articles based on the user criteria. This would give us better control over which articles are displayed to specific users.

Use Separate Knowledge Bases: Instead of hiding sub-categories inside a single Knowledge Base, create distinct Knowledge Bases (e.g., "Public KB" vs. "Internal HR KB")

Hi @VedavalliC

In ServiceNow, OOB feature cannot directly hide or show a specific knowledge category based on user roles or groups or other criteria.

Instead of hiding the category itself, keep the category visible and restrict which articles inside it a user can see using User Criteria.

ahoy @VedavalliC,

if you are using the Employee Service Center, you might want to set taxonomies with different categories...

Taxonomy 1 - Category A and B

Taxonomy 2 - Category C and D

And add visibility of the taxonomies as per needed
