Location field loo up is showing gobe symbols instead of records on cmdb_ci table

I added the location field on the cmdb_ci form. if i click on search/lookup of the field it is showing globe symbols means it is unable to read the data. if i type name in the location filed it is giving the results in the related search. Please refer the screen shot and help me.

Is it working fine with admin?

seems tree_picker attribute is added to that field, try removing that

it means that user doesn't have read access to name field.

Did you debug that?

I am admin, and in user table location field also designed like that and can see the records in user  and other tables too, except the cmdb related tables

is that an OOTB field or custom field?
