Make reference field clickable to record

Hi,

I have two reference fields on 'sn_customerservice_case' table.

 

Why one of them has the option of 'open record' (preview) and the second one has not

could you possibly share some context?

 

Without knowing what fields / referenced tables and what users accessing it, it's difficult to help.

 

Just a quick idea - the user who can access one reference but cannot the other is due to their access permisisons granted (ACL)... 

 

The better questions the better answer, this is too vague to give you a meaningful suggestion :((

Things to check

1) if reference field is readonly it doesn't show the i icon. check dictionary if field is readonly, client script/UI policy is making it readonly or some field level WRITE ACL

2) if the preview is disabled at dictionary level then it won't show i.e. see if dictionary has this

ref_decoration_disabled=true
