Metric defination to calculate the time taken at each substate

I have a requirement to create metric defination to calculate the time spent at each sub-state of a record but I have to exclude those records where parent_request.u_GEMV2_request is false. parent_request is a reference field on a record pointing to its parent record while u_GEMV2_request is a boolean field.

I have already created metric defination but how to exclude the records as per above condition?
