Metric instance state changes start and end

Hi all,

I have created a metric where the metric type is script calculation

I need to create a metrics whenever the state changes it need to capture the start and end

for e.g: For suppose initially,

1.the case state is open so start is current time and end has to be empty

2.when the case state has goes to awaiting approval then the start has to be current time and the previous metric instance i.e. the instance record where the state has to be open that end has to be the time when the state changes to open to awaiting approval.

Can you help me how to set the start and end time in metric instance

@Community Alums  You can refer the current OOB metric definition when calculates the state duration on a incident record. 

As mentioned in your case, it provides start and end times based on "State"
