Hello @SimranK93838843
It's actually quite a procedure -
Here’s the **Modern Change Management Implementation Plan** -
---
## **1. Understanding the Current State**
### **Assess Legacy Change Management**
- Identify existing **change types** (Normal, Emergency, Standard).
- Review **manual processes, approvals, and risk assessment methods**.
## **2. Define Change Models**
### **Steps to Implement Change Models:**
1. **Navigate to** `Change > Administration > Change Models`.
2. **Define Change Models** based on change types:
- **Standard Change Model** (Pre-approved, minimal risk).
- **Normal Change Model** (Risk-based approval process).
- **Emergency Change Model** (Expedited approvals).
3. **Automate Field Population** by predefining **fields, risk conditions, and approval workflows** for each model.
------
## **3. Implement Risk Assessment**
Risk Assessment ensures **better decision-making** and prevents unnecessary approvals.
### **Steps to Implement Risk Assessment:**
1. **Go to** `Change > Risk Assessment > Risk Conditions`.
2. **Define Risk Calculation** based on:
- Impact.
- Urgency.
- Business Service Criticality.
3. **Configure Risk Calculation Rules** to assign:
- **Low Risk** (Auto-approved for Standard Changes).
- **Medium Risk** (Manager Approval Required).
- **High Risk** (CAB Review Required).
---
## **4. Define Change Approval Policies**
- Replace **manual approvals** with **policy-based approvals**.
- Use **Flow Designer** or **Change Approval Policies** to:
- Auto-approve **low-risk changes**.
- Route **high-risk changes** to CAB.
---
## **5. Enable Change Schedule and Collision Detection**
- Use **Change Calendar** (`Change > Change Calendar`) to:
- **Detect conflicts** with existing changes.
- Auto-suggest change windows.
- Enable **Collision Detection** in Change properties.
---
## **6. Automate Change Tasks and Notifications**
- Define **change workflows** with **pre-configured tasks**.
- Configure **notification rules** for approvals and rejections.

Being an SN trainer and BPC, happy to help here also previously I worked as a change manager so love this model.
Along this best is Go to Now create ( learning.servicenow.com/nowcreate) Go to Assets --> and search for Change Management and you will get a lot of workshop deck. Best to go the same.
