Moving variables from an existing variable set to a new variable set

Hi, 

I want to move variables from an existing variable set (catalog item) to a new variable set in the same (catalog item) but I am not sure if this is a good practice. What's the impact on the old records.

You can go ahead with the above solution, Or you can open that variable set and use Insert and stay that will save your time as well.

No impact on the old record.
