Multiple selection variable required on the catalog item request

Hi All,

Multiple selection variable is required on the catalog item, instead of using the various checkboxes option on the form,

Is there any other way to select multiple options for one variable, it was not referring to any table, hence not able to use the list collector  variable type

Without any customization or writing the ACLs,
Is it possible to use OOB functionality?

unfortunatly we don't have any OOTB field type for multiple selection.
