Need help understanding how an automatic Catalog Item was created.

Hello,

I created a Catalog Item with a few variables using PDI, but without any Flow or Workflow attached, just for the purpose of testing.

However, when I submitted a request, it created both a Request and a Catalog Item. Could you please let me know what triggered the creation of this record?  Thank you

There is  standard  ooo workflow executing behind this .

Kindly check this workflow and you get an idea behind executing the service request.

I have set the following workflows to inactive, but it still created both a Request and a Catalog Item.

Checking out a workflow does not deactivate it.

The checked out version will work only for your user account while for the rest of the users the last published version will continue to work.

You might need to deactivate it from the menu once you check out the workflow. Then try submitting the item.
