Need help with Multi-row variable set (MVS) use in Flow Designer.

Hello,

I'm really need the community to help on this issue. I've spent days trying to figure out a solution, but so far no luck.

I have a Service Request with MVS that contains 2 variables (Add Additional Requestor and Asset Tag).

In the Flow Designer, I looped through the MVS and create tasks for each requestors. I would like to have each Requestor Name and Asset Tag displays on the Short Description field for task so that the Assignment Group can know which task belongs which requestor.

I'm encountering an issue where the short description contains Sys_id numbers instead of the requestor name.

Is it possible to shows the Requestor Name and Asset Tag that were on the MVS?  If not, please provide suggestions how to capture the information separately each task.

Thank you.

I have spent many days on searching and tried many posted suggestions. I don't remember which links.  Here are the links I have tried recently.

How do I create a Support Case for this?

Unfortunately all the links shared have no full relation with what you are asking. The articles are on get variables with just variables (and not mrvs), or about mrvs scripting (though not flow designer), etc..

If you are doing this on a company instance, you could raise a case that way. Or reach out to someone in your company who has access to ServiceNow Support.

If my answer helped you in any way, please then mark it as helpful.

Kind regards,

I'm sorry about those links. I did not understand how those script works, but willing to try them and hope that I will hit the jackpot on one of them.

We spent 1.5 millions on this production. It was done by a consultant company and they were long done.  I will definitely create a case with SN, but just don't know how, because no one in our company done it.

Mark,

I would like to try your suggestion on the workaround. If I can get this work, at least I have something better than nothing.

Could you please show me how I can do this with flow designer?  Thanks

Just this, not much more (= tested):

Then in follow-up steps (like Create Catalog Task in my example), you can just use the results (with the data pill) from the look up.

In your case you would need to apply 2 look ups because you've got two references on different tables.

If my answer helped you in any way, please then mark it as helpful.
