Working on requirement, where user wants to manage their stationary with below hierarchy:
Customer has "ABC Laptop Bag" (ABC is brand) with some tracking code suppose ABC-Bag. They have 30 total quantities of this bag, each with unique serial number. 10 quantities are at Location1, 10 at Location 2, 10 at Location 3.
Now on Service Portal page, customer will login and raise request to send few of these bags at his office (you can say transfer order)
on SP page, there should be a field where user will put his bag code "ABC-Bag" and click on Lookup search field. On this lookup search List page, user should see 3 locations along with quantities i.e. Location 1 -10, Location 2 -10, Location 3 -10.
If user select location 1, then request should be raised with Location 1 and on dispatching the bag, quantity of bag from Location 1 should be reduced by 1.
so hierarchy will be like :
Bag Code - have total 30 pieces (30 unique serial number) - available at 3 locations with quantities
like Bag..there will more other types of Stationaries also..that will get mapped to Location 1, 2 and 3
I was planning to use Enterprise Asset management for this...but not sure on clicking Bag Code on service portal page, how should i just show list with just location and quantities.
Please help with your suggestions.
