New rank in ServiceNow community?

Henrik Jutterst

Like many of the users in the community, I have multiple accounts here from different contracts, but this is my main account.

But on one of my other account I just got upgraded to "Tera Expert" without writing a single post here on the community. Sure, I use it to interact with ServiceNow Support, but still...

How can I even be an "Expert" without any interactions on community. To me, this new "hierarchy" is a bit extreme.

It's like the whole gold, silver, bronze thing... Now diamond, platinum and all then thing is next level rank.

What's the idea of everyone being an expert even it's your first post. The whole concept of expertise falls apart?

Hi @Henrik Jutterst,

Take a look at this article written by @Dan Bruhn. It will help you to understand the ranking and point system in new ServiceNow community.

Thanks Sagar!

I'm just having hard to agree that you're an expert within community even if you've never written or reacting  on a post in the community.

I've written multiple questions to Support with my other account and that gave me Tera Expert title.

What I'm saying is that the work that I add to my "real" account does not reflect the effort/knowledge I have so the ranking does not reflect the user.

My post won't change anything. I simply wanted to get some attention to this.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi @Henrik Jutterst,

As per the article the Ranks and levels based on below things:

Activities and weight from highest to lowest

  • Article & Blog Authoring
  • Accepted Solution Received
  • Helpful Received
  • Helpful Comments
  • Contributions, Message Views, Comments, Logins

One point is login time is considered as per the new community. hence your rank/level upgraded to Tera expert.

@Dan Bruhn@Sarah G_  -  It would be helpful, if you add your comments here.

Thanks,

Sagar Pagar

Yeah, it's rather confusing especially if you're hoping to get help from someone and you think information provided by an expert would probably be the best kind, but apparently you get to the expert rank by browsing around enough(?).
