Next action button not available

Hi,

Sometimes, when i try to open service request modules, there is no next action button available into service portal form. below is the url which is loaded.

sp?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=ccb9ebbf1b897b80c9307510cd4bcb7f&table=sc_cat_item&searchTerm=new%20hire,transfer 

But sometimes I can view the Next action button, below is the screenshot:

please advise why i am getting two different behavior and how to fix this. Thanks.

Next button comes if you are on Order Guide, it doesn't come for catalog item

that's the possible reason

Are you trying the request item or the order guide? The “Next” button is OOTB on the order guide.

Please fill in the value in the variable and then check. I think this is expected, as the variable on the first page is mandatory, so the “Next” button is not visible.
