Nimsoft Integration

Hi All

I am trying to Integrate Nimsoft with ServiceNow and the documentation provided by wiki on this is very little, due to which I am not able to understand how to utilize the plug-in so that I can establish a bi-directional connection.

I am wondering if the integration has to be done using the Plug-in via ECC queue or using the web services? If we have to do it using the Plug-in and ECC queue then could you please help me understand what are the basic steps to setup the integration so that the entry is added to the ECC queue. Any help would be much appreciated.

We just completed certification for integration with ServiceNow and thought I might just pass on a few best practices we learned through the process.

1. Be sure to leverage import sets and transform maps so there is an audit trail of inbound transactions. ServiceNow is getting away from SOAP Plugin service.. they are enhancing their JSON v2 Plugin service with each new release.
2. Support for cross platforms can be difficult, so develop against Calgary Hotfix 5, which should give forward compatibility to Eureka (in most cases).

Good news ! there is an App for Nexthink integration and I successfully installed it.

Moreover I made an integration by myself for populating Snow CMDB with NExthink data

Are you still interested in this   integration ?

Hi all,

I realise this is somewhat an old question so it may be difficult to reply. I have a couple of questions regarding the probe:

- How would I be able to tell if ServiceNow was sending information back to Nimsoft? WSDL does appear to have some definitions, such as elements along the lines of getRecordsResponse and update, but I'm not familiar enough with XML to understand what these elements do.

- I am told byour Nimsoft guy that it expects to be able to see when an incident is resolved - will this be done via lookups to the incident state, or through notifications sent by ServiceNow? If it is notifications, where could I find them?

- We've recently upgraded to Geneva - does this mean we can't use WSDL anymore? Is there an alternative we can use if not?
