Now Mobile App - Dot walking for Screen Fields

Can anyone explain to me how the out of the box screen "Details" with a a description of "Approval_RITM_Details_screen" is dot walking to something that I cannot dot walk to myself?

In the OOB "Details" screen you can see the dot walking of "sysapproval.ref_sc_req_item.variables".  However, I can not replicate this...If I click "New" and then try and dot walk to a Form Field like the OOB item, I can't do it.  If I go to Approval For (this is sysapproval field) and expand it, I am unable to get to the variables.  The field "Questions" is there, but it's not expandable and doesn't look like the OOB field does which is the 2nd screenshot.

This is what it looks like when I choose "Questions" in the dot walk tree for Approval For field:

Can anyone explain this?  The details screen can be found here:

Hi @Steven Parker ,
If you have implemented above, Could you please explain how to achieve this?

I was unable to find how they achieved this.  I probably should open a support ticket and ask about it.

But one thing I did do was I opened that record "sysapproval.ref_sc_req_item.variables" and clicked "insert and stay" to create a new record and then changed the embedded screen it was on.  This allowed me to use the same screen field on another screen.  While that works for certain screens, it still has limitation where if that isn't the dot walk path needed, it doesn't work.

What I really need is a way to dot walk to the "sc_task.variables" so I can present out ITIL users with a way to work catalog tasks from the mobile app (example: filling in task fields that don't exist on the request form)....unfortunately, I haven't found a way to do that yet.
