I have implemented the Guided Tours and they are working well apart from the below.
1. I have found that if you re-run a guided tour by clicking "Take Tour/Take a Tour", if you step out of the tour part way through by clicking the "X", the option to "stop this tour from auto launching again" is not coming up, therefore the next time the users returns to that form/list, the tour starts up again from the step where they stepped out (even if they have previously completed the tour or previously marked the tour to not auto launch). It seems for these users the only way to stop it firing is to fully complete the tour again.
Our use case for the tours at present is primarily to point out enhancements (sometimes multiple) on forms/lists to end users, and not to walk them through a process, so completing the tour is not critical.
Has anyone else seen this issue, has a solution?
I'm thinking that I could look to code something to handle it and directly update the tables in the background but thought I would check here first.
Also on a related note can we specify which guided tours this option is available for (e.g available for the "good to know" tours but not available for the tours that present updates to company policy that all users must be aware of and therefore must complete fully.
And finally does anyone know if we can control who can access the tick "Apply for all tours on this page"?
Lots of questions I know. Sorry

Hey Francis,
The "Stop Guided Tour" dialog is only intended to appear when the tours are auto-launching.
It seems, from your case, that initially you or the user explicitly ran a tour by clicking on the tour list - for such cases the dialog is not intended to appear.
If the tour starts up from where it left - closing the tour callout should prevent it from starting up automatically again. Please do let me know if this is not the case.
The dialog was designed for the following use case:
The tour admin has created an autolaunching tour. When a user visits the particular page, then the autolaunching tour starts. If the user decides not to take the tour, he will click on the 'X' button. The moment he clicks on the 'X' button for an "autolaunching tour" he should be provided the option to prevent that tour from autolaunching again. As of now, he can also opt to prevent all currently present tours on the page from auto-launching.
As of now, every user has access to "Apply for all tours on this page".
However, the tour admin can remove all such overrides by explicitly visiting the tour overrides table and deleting the overrides. Do let me know if you want more info on this.
Please do let me know if this answers your queries. Any other questions/queries are welcome.

Hi Anupam Singh,
Sorry for the dely in responding but yes the problem is that if you manually launch a tour and then step out of it the tour auto starts from where you left off the next time you visit that page. This is causing frustration for end users who use the tour to refresh their memories of a new process.
The rest of the items you responded with were very helpful thank you.
Regards Francis
