PDI will not install apps. "credentials cannot be sent to a host other than the configured apprepo"

NO applications will install in my PDI, immediately returning "Unable to download app package" in the UI. I dug into the system logs and found the errors in the attached log, the highlight of which is:

Blocked: credentials cannot be sent to a host other than the configured apprepo: https://appstoreprod.service-now.com/: no thrown error

I guess that makes sense, because the property sn_appclient.repository_base_url is set to https://apprepo.service-now.com/.  The thing is, I didn't set that (it's a default from a fresh PDI) and I can't change it.

What next, ServiceNow?

Fixed: PDI plugin installation stuck at "Pending 0%" or failing with repository URL error

I encountered the same issue where installing plugins (like sn-cwm-agile) on a PDI would get stuck indefinitely at Pending 0% or fail to download.

Executing the following background script in the Global scope resolved the issue immediately:

JavaScript

gs.info('Before: ' + gs.getProperty('sn_appclient.repository_base_url'));
gs.setProperty('sn_appclient.repository_base_url', 'https://appstoreprod.service-now.com/');
gs.info('After: ' + gs.getProperty('sn_appclient.repository_base_url'));

After running this snippet via System Definition > Scripts - Background, the property was updated to https://appstoreprod.service-now.com/, https://appstoreprod.service-now.com/  and the installation started progressing and completed successfully without any errors.

ServiceNow developers deserve better than the current PDI infrastructure mess.

I'd appreciated your support with this post, it's time get the company to listen and take action.
