Personal Dev Instance Offline

Hi Team,

My PDI is offline, I tried refreshing, activating a plugin but no luck. I see a message saying that it'll be online in sometime but I have been waiting for a while now. I don't want my work lost as today my instance will get reclaimed.

Hi @Kamal17

I faced the same issue on Monday with error

'Bad Request
This combination of host and port requires TLS'.

Since I needed the instance urgently, I released the existing instance through the Developer Portal and requested a new one. I received the new instance within 2 minutes.

If you’re okay with waiting, you can wait for another 1–2 days or more. Keep refreshing it from Developer portal .

Otherwise, ( if you do not important stuff in your offline pdi) you can follow the same process I did.

There is no support available for PDI.

Hello @Kamal17 ,

Don’t worry, buddy. This has been happening with multiple users these days. My instance also went offline after some time, but it came back online on its own.

You just need to wait for some time and then try logging in again. In rare cases, the instance may not come back online. If it still doesn’t come back after waiting for a while, you can release the instance and request a new one.

If this helps you then mark it as helpful and accept as solution.

Regards,

Aditya

Hi @Kamal17

As you might know, then there is no support available for PDIs, hence your only option is to wait till it come online or release and request a fresh installation.

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.

Best regards

Hi @Kamal17

Current status:

  • Developer Site: Available
  • New PDI provisioning: Paused
  • PDI reclaim and wake actions: Paused
  • Existing PDIs: Some remain offline
  • User action required: None at this time

ServiceNow does not expect any data loss. Affected PDIs are currently hibernating, and the data stored on them is expected to remain available once the instances are restored.

If your PDI is offline, you will need to wait until it becomes available again before accessing your data. No action is currently required.

ServiceNow is continuing to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
