Plugin development

Greetings all,

Me and my team are starting with application development for Servicenow. Our goal is to develop Applications that could potentially go to the Servicenow market place. We know that we need to be parters with Servicenow to accomplish that, be compliant with the standards of Servicenow and complete a verification process, etc, but assuming all these points are achieved, then:

1. Is it a Servicenow Plugin is just an Application that is available on the Market so any user can install it on any instance?

2. What are the main differences between the development process for Servicenow Plugins and Custom Applications, besides verification needed and all described above?

3. Is there any publicly available documentation to get familiar with the process of developing a Plugin?

Thanks to all in advance, your input is much appreciated.

Best regards,

Heraldo.
