Problem: How to drag and drop in Service Portal Designer?

Inside a custom scope, I did the back-end of my app, now, I wanted to move to the front end and I decided to use the Service Portal.

So, I created a new page and clicked on Edit in page designer, and then I started to drag a container to the blanck canvas but it didnt let me.

While I'm trying to drag my mouse pointer changes to a cant pointer.

How can I start drag and dropping layouts and widgets in this portal?

More info:

+ I'm using Instabul.

+ If I try to modify a demo page the portal lets me do it.

HI,

i faced simillar problem couple of times.

make sure scope of the page, widget and current application while you do drag n drop are same.

also make sure you select correct portal which is in current scope.

also try to drag n drop couple of times.

another alternative is to open the page in "page editor" instead of designer

there you have option of new container.

open container related list n make new record.

The Page Editor approach worked for me. After I added that initial container, the page designer let me do the drag and drop again.

I'm guessing this is a bug, because all my scopes were the same from the start.

yupp.. seems like a bug. it lets you do things as usual once you add that first container. wierd!

I was facing the same issue and adding container from page editor worked .
