problem with csv

Hi All,

I am struggling with importing CSV file to import set. In import set table some junk columns are getting created and when i clicked on "Loaded data" it is showing the error "An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x0) was found in the element content of the document."

What can be the possible issue for this?

Thanks and regards,

Hi Tomasi,

Sorry, i forgot clear the junk columns which were already created. i have used utf-16 in properties, now it is working fine but to check once, will it cause any problem to the instance?

Thanks and regards,

Swamy

I don't know. That still looks like the utf-8 character set stuff to me, but I did not see UTF encoding in the file you sent.

Can you send a screenshot of your data source record?

That's an interesting mess.

I'm out of ideas. Contact customer support and let me know what they say.

Hi Tomasi,

I have raised an HI incident with servicenow for this issue, and they replied that the attachment encoded with utf-16. But, they haven't replied how to make servicenow to recognize utf-16.

i tried by placing charset=utf-16 in properties of data source but now i am really surprised with the fields created in import sets, it has created fields with proper name along with junk fields also.

Please suggest me on this.

I don't believe ServiceNow supports UTF-16 at this point. Let me know what support has to say.
