No one here is waiting for someone like you to come along and hand them a prepared bag full of ideas and finished projects. The media, such as LinkedIn, this community portal, but also the many university courses are full of ideas, but you have to take them yourself. However, it's even better if you build something of your own and show it to the world. That's the only way to become an expert and get noticed.

I’m a ServiceNow trainer and happy to share my thoughts. I agree that real hands-on experience isn't always possible, but you can still create dummy projects. When it comes to ideas, they’re everywhere—you just need to observe.

Whether an idea seems funny or serious, an idea is still an idea. Here are a few examples:

• Restaurant table booking

• Vaccination appointment system

• Travel booking portal

• School admission process

• Class test management

• Tax management system

And much more!

In short, ideas are all around you—just look around and get started!

The Application Developer Fundamentals course on ServiceNow University takes new developers through the creation of a "Loaner" application and tasks needed to complete.  It is quite good.
