I don't think so it's possible as you cannot dot walk and access it.

The approval_for field references the task from which the approval was generated doesn't it? Couldn't you dot-walk to requested_for from there. It's on the RITM and the request.
Even if you can't dot-walk for some reason, you can definitely get it using code in the message.
