Purpose of Notification Menu in Next UI

Hi all,

I'm having a bit of difficulty understanding what the purpose is with the notification menu in the Next Experience/Polaris UI. More specifically, what types of notifications are being populated here? Is it all types of notifications including e-mail or is it more focused? Additionally, is there a way to hide the notification menu if we don't want to use it?

Hi @ParkPants 

The Notifications Menu in the header bar displays any Workspace-related notifications, and it cannot be removed.

In the personal preferences, you can configure some behaviors for Workspace notifications additionally to the classic Email/SMS notifications:
