"Enable list edit" checkbox to be set to true by default

Hi,

Can we set the "Enable list edit" checkbox to be true by default in personalize? As of now, users have to first make it true and then they are able to edit list.

Is there a way to make it "true" by default? If yes, can there be any issues if we make it "true" by default?

Hi @SK41

Please refer to the below article:

Hi @SK41

Try to update system property "glide.ui.list_edit".

I've not checked it yet but you can check once

Hi,

this property is set to "true" only in system property. But, for some users , in personalise the "enable list edit" checkbox is not showing true (As you can see in attached screenshot).

Kinldy, suggest what could be the reason?

Hey SK41,

You may want to read more on system, user and global preference and that should help you with the answer. Adding the doc link that describes it better, users can always override the system preference as users can decide to set their individual preference.

Global user preferences

Create global preferences to set a default preference for your users. To make a preference the default, create a preference, check the System check box, and leave the User field blank. The preceding image is an example of a global preference. This preference is applied to all users. This preference is overridden for a specific user by creating a preference with the same name that has a value in the User field.
