Reading a Text from an Image - OCR

Hi
Could Service-Now scripting has capability in reading text from an image attached to a Email notification? Anyone tried that?

Great if anyone could share your ideas on how to implement this

It is possible. Couple of ideas for this:

1. There are JavaScript OCR libraries available on the internet that you could add to ServiceNow. This might be similiar to how the jQuery javascript functionality is available in ServiceNow. However to get all that running within ServiceNow will take a considerable amount of javascript knowledge and determination.
2. There may be software available that can ocr images within your email system. Like a Plugin to Outlook.
3. Email it to OCR reading service and it can email ServiceNow. This might work if you have only select emails that you want OCR'd.

not really. I tried with Berlin version of SN with not much desired output. Later we dropped idea of reading text from an image. Haven't tried with Eureka or Fuji scripts.
