Reclaimed PDI spamming me

hskchan

Hello,

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum, but how can i reach the right folks to look into a reclaimed PDI (i no longer have access) but for some reason is still online (URL active) and has since been configured to run scheduled jobs which is sending me numerous job status notifications?   I never configured these jobs when I had the PDI and it started the a few days AFTER my PDI was reclaimed.  I've sent emails to pdiquestions@servicenow.com which have remained unanswered.

Regards,

Henry

Hi @hskchan ,

There is no support available for PDI.

This is very unfortunate.

There are two options.

Either  Set up an incoming mail filter  in your mail box targeting the sender address of the active PDI URL.

OR

Release the instance and request for New one.

Hi Tanushree,

Thank you for the response.  Yes I was going to deal with it from my side for spamming regardless but was keeping it going only in case ServiceNow was going to respond to help them with any evidence they needed to resolve their issues.  At this point I think I will leave them to their own devices.

I can’t release the instance as they already reclaimed it and I have no access to it.  Very slipshod management of their own infrastructure  and in particular I was reaching out to help them (to ultimately help me 😒)

Hi @hskchan,
You can simply reclaim new PDI for the same if you see any unexpected behaviour in your current PDI.

Please followup mail as you have sent already.

Please mark helpful & correct answer if it's worthy for you.

Thank you for your response.  I think it is a one off scenario. Really the reclaimed PDI should have either been torn down or fully reset.  I suspect it’s in limbo and active which isn’t a good thing for ServiceNow themselves as a waste of resources.

Given no response I think I can only deal with the spamming from my side and leave it to them to deal with their own issues.  My bigger concern is now what they actually do for managing the PDI infrastructure from a privacy and security perspective.  I was always cautious with the work I did on them but now even more so.
