i have 2 tables, person and training.
the person.person field references sys_user and is the display for this table (Display is checked)
the training.person field references the person table (NOT sys_user)
the training rec shows the name of the person.
in Helsinki, the training list view is fine and shows the person name.
in KINGSTON the training rec is find
BUT
the list view shows the sys_id
if i sort on another column, the list view for person will switch to showing the name (which is correct)
BUT
if i sort on the person column it switches back to the sysid.
I know this sounds weird and it is.
ideas?
please try this in your own instance and let me know if you get the same result.

For me in London the training record in list view shows the name. Try this. Go to system ui > lists. Search you person table name. Make sure there is an entry with the view of Reference List. If not then you need to create one otherwise the default view till take over. Not sure why an upgrade would make you loose the record but it is the only other thing I can think of.

I just did this in my kingston pdi and i get the same result - my ref column on my child table is the sys_id (and i did check the reference list as you suggest)
if you recreated i suspect you did not configure as i have.
would you please tell me how you configured your tables?
is this a bug in kingston?
