Relationship between Interactions and tasks

We have a situation in which users are creating interactions in Agent Workspace and save their work. Immediately afterwards, that person will create a case or incident and click on save. The relationship between the case and interaction or the incident and interaction is not shown on the related tab. Some users have saved the case or incident more than once hoping to see an update. Sometimes it was a matter of refreshing the screen or moving around and coming back before the relationship would be established.
Can this be a timing issue? What is the relationship between the two items that we might be missing that is causing this issue.

Interactions are merely a method of controlling channels.You assoicate the intercation to any other records.To understand further refer database schema of the interaction and refer here
