Remove Demo Data not working on PDI instance

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working with a ServiceNow Developer Instance (PDI) and experimenting with creating apps and using APIs. To keep the environment clean and simple, I wanted to remove the demo data.

I followed the process from my PDI profile: I went to Instance Actions and selected "Remove Demo Data". I received the confirmation email saying the operation was successful, but when I log back into my instance, all the demo data is still there.

I’ve tried this process multiple times, waited for the confirmation email each time, but the demo data is never actually removed.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Any ideas why the demo data is still there despite the success message?

Thanks in advance

Francesco,

You recently requested removal of demo data on your personal development instance: devXXXXXX. This action is complete.

Thanks for being an active member of the ServiceNow Developer Program. .

Hi @FrancescoR

I think if it's not working, there's no alternative. You can release the PDI, but if you still request a new one, it will come with minimal demo data. If you install a plugin, make sure not to load the demo data.

However, sometimes demo data is needed to test the flow, so it's better to keep it. Alternatively, you can go to the relevant tables and delete the data directly from the list view."
