Require to make assigned to mandatory

Dear All,

 

I am new to servicenow platform.

We have a requirement to make assigned to mandatory while resolving the incident. Presently when I click on resolve button it only asks resolution code and resolution notes as only mandatory field. We are able to resolve the incident without assigned to. 

Please suggest how to restrict it.

The conditions should be - is one of - and then choose Resolved, & Closed:

Thank you for help.

But this is not working on my customized instance and there is no effect of this data policy on the record.

But when I applied same on the my personal instance it is working. I am not able to understand where I am lagging.

Is the Table correct?

Try using Field watcher to determine if there is a conflict with something else. Right-click on the assigned to field and select Watch;

Then reload the form:

Then check the field watch list for reasons why it's not mandatory:
