We have a scoped application which was able to read from "sysevent" table till Rome instances. However with San Diego instances, we are unable to do so. Upon navigating to System Definition > Tables and then selecting the "sysevent" table, under its application access tab, we can see that the caller access is set to "Caller Restriction" in San Diego. "For global tables with caller restriction, only read access can be restricted" - this note can also be seen. So how can we read from "sysevent" table in San Diego ?
