Script To List All Catalog Variables Displayed To Customer

I am familiar with listing all variables associated to a catalog item and the value that was provided. What I am looking to do is list all variables that were displayed to the customer, whether they answered or not. My end customer needs to know which questions were asked. I thought I saw an article talk about a property that would tell you whether the variable was displayed, but I cannot find it.

Why can't you just send them a screenshot/write-up of what you see when looking at the catalog item?

you can determine if variable was answered or not by checking it's value

But determining in server side script which variables were displayed is difficult or rather impossible as there could be catalog client script or catalog UI policy which might be hiding those variables.
