Search list of sysids instead of Valie

We built a related m2m list from a custom table to task observables.  When trying to retrieve an observable from the list, all we see is sysids

 

Its not the Display as the display is on a Reference field the the task observables table.

We've done this with a variety of other m2m tables without issue.

 

Any ideas on the issue or resolution options?

Please make sure a field on your m2m table has the "Display" dictionary attribute set to "true".

That's set to true.

I figured it out.  The value on the m2m table referenced another table where there was no 'display' value set to true.  Once I set that value to true, it worked.
